Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Wednesday afternoon defeated the Nigerian Navy 1-0 to qualify for the final of Maritime Cup 2023.
NPA’s Koko Marine, who displayed the attributes of a well-coordinated team, scored the only goal of the match against Navy’s hard-fighting Admiralty FC thirty-three minutes into the first half. The goal was scored by jersey number 20, Eletu Olamilekan.
Recall that in October 2022, NPA triumphed over the Navy 1-0 to lift the Maritime Cup.
NPA and Navy have so far met five times in the Maritime Cup out of which NPA won three times and the Navy twice.
NPA supporters immediately took to the pitch to celebrate their hard-won victory.
