A 19-year-old man, Nurudeen Balogun, has been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos for allegedly stealing the battery of a truck valued at N50,000.
The prosecutor told the court that the defendant committed the offence on February 9 at about 11a.m. at Otto-Wharf, Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.
He said the offence contravened sections 409 and 405 of the Criminal Code Laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs A. I. Alaka, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N25,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case till March 20 for hearing.
