Four docked for stealing items worth N.7m at Apapa port
Four clearing agents were on Monday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing drugs worth N1.5 million at the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa.

The agents are Nwagbo Lucky (47), Adegboyega Johnson (45), Kunle Oyetunji (43) and Solomon Akpomedaye (31).

The prosecutor, Sergeant Alexander Esebamen told the court that the accused committed the offence on November 18, 2017 at Zone C, Examination Ground of the port.

Esebamen said the accused stole four cartons of Lumartem tablets and Voltaren tube tablets belonging to Grains Pharmaceutical.

According to him, the offences contravened Sections 409 and 287 0f the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
However, all the accused pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge bothering on conspiracy and stealing.
In her ruling, Magistrate Osho Adebiyi granted the defendants bail in the sum of N250,000 each with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case till January 15, 2018 for mention.
