Trucks Transit Parks (TTP), the company operating the eto call-up system to streamline truck movement into the Lagos Port Complex in Apapa, has clarified that it has not suspended its operations at the port.
Managing Director Jama Onwubuariri made this announcement on Monday, countering recent claims of a shutdown.
Onwubuariri highlighted that since its inception, the eto call-up system has consistently operated without interruption, achieving remarkable uptime and reliability.
He emphasised that TTP has set new standards for stability, innovation, and excellence in the industry.
He said TTP collaborates closely with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to monitor port activity and provide guidance on truck access based on real-time traffic conditions and terminal requests.
“This process ensures that the system remains perpetually available,” he explained. “It restricts truck movement in line with standard operating procedures, facilitating efficient, real-time port access, smooth traffic flow, and reduced congestion.”
Onwubuariri also pointed out that TTP routinely updates stakeholders through various channels, underscoring the system’s reliability and its critical role in managing port logistics.
“The eto system stands as a pioneering example of digital traffic solutions, now under study in academic institutions across Nigeria and internationally. Increasingly, public and private entities are subscribing to TTP’s services, recognizing the value of our technology,” he added.
He urged stakeholders to adhere to the system’s standard operating procedures to support seamless operations and reiterated TTP’s commitment to assisting customers with any concerns.
