The management of the Sifax Group yesterday honoured 11 of its staff that have served the organisation for between 10 and 20 years.
The ceremony which was held at Apapa yesterday saw the long service award recipients rewarded with cash and various gifts items.
Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of Sifax Group, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, who was represented by a top management staff of the Group, Folake Rogers, said the 2013 long service award was hosted to honour staff for their loyalty, deligence, hardwork and commitment to the actualisation of the goals of the organisation.
While congratulating the award recipients, Afolabi enjoined other workers to take a cue from their success story in the 26-year old organisation.
“When we have an event like this, this is to tell you that someone is doing a good job for so many years. Today it is a case of how long and how well for the staff. Everybody receiving this award today will be happy for what he or she has contributed to the development of Sifax,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the Executive Director Administration and Human Resources, Dr. Phil Ofulue advised other staff to work hand and wait patiently for the time they will also be celebrated for their contribution to the organisation.
His words: “All of us are winners but I congratulate all the awardees for their long service to the company.”
Those honoured include Shofun Taiwo, Yakubu Eruobodo, Olumayowa Adeolu, Adegoke Funsho, Adeshina Adegbesan and Adekunle Ahmed.
The others are Ladan Paul, Ifeanyi Micheal, Ojih Christiana, Kazeem Oladapo and Okunedo Mabel.
