An 18-year-old motorboy, Badmos Malik, was on Thursday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing two phones and the sum of N11,000 in Apapa.
Malik is facing a two-count
The prosecutor, Inspector Feddy Asu, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on January 12, 2019 at about 4am at Church Street, Ijora-Badia, Apapa.
“The defendant conspired together with others at large to steal two Tecno phones valued at N60,000 with the sum of N11,000 property of one Emmanuel Chika,” Asu said.
According to him, the offences are punishable under sections 412 and 278 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The defendant pleaded not
Magistrate M.O Olubi granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50,000 with two responsible sureties in like sum.
The sureties, according to the Magistrate, must furnish the court with proof of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
