Following the recent redeployment of some officers and Comptrollers by the acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller Muhammed Umar Abubakar, has taken over as the Controller of the Katsina Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.
He took over on Wednesday 2023 from Comptroller Muhammed Musa.
Abubakar holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and was enlisted into the Service as an Assistant Superintendent of Customs in 1989.
He attended several courses both within and outside the country. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Management, Nigeria.
Before his latest posting, he served as the Controller of Plateau/Nassarawa/Benue and Kano/Jigawa Area Commands and Comptroller, Admin at the Zonal Headquarters, Zone B Kaduna.
