Traffic congestion was observed on the road inward Apapa from Ijora weekend after the Federal Government shut the Marine bridge for repair and maintenance works.
Officials said the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing closed the bridge at about 11am on Saturday. The bridge will remain closed for three months.
Many commuters, who spoke with SHIPS & PORTS, lamented that alternative roads were not provided before the closure of the bridge, which is the main linkage for trucks into Lagos ports.
