The Commercial Manager of APM Terminals Apapa, Temilade Ogunniyi carted home two awards at the Maritime and Offshore Award ceremony held weekend in Lagos.
Ms Ogunniyi, who has been described as a hardworking and highly innovate maritime logistics professional, won the ‘Shining Star of the Year’ and the ‘Torch Bearer’ awards.
The organisers said the awards were conferred on her in recognition of her “exemplary contribution and impact in the maritime industry”.
Ogunniyi holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from the Business School Netherlands (BSN). Her career spans across finance, IT and research while her maritime industry experience cuts across the two top-tier shipping lines and the largest container terminal in Nigeria.
Last year, the Barge Operators Association of Nigeria (BOAN) conferred a special recognition award on her for her “immense contribution to the development of container barging” at Apapa Port.
