An Apapa Magistrates’ Court on Monday slammed three months imprisonment without option of fine on Henry Nwose (33) for stealing a shuttle bus in Lagos.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Adeniyi Balogun, told the court during the presentation of the facts that the accused committed the offence on April 21, 2019 at about 2pm at No 25, Adeola Street, Oluti, Satellite Town, Lagos.
“The defendant stole one shuttle bus painted with black and white with registration number KRD 395 XP valued at N520,000 that was given to one David Edeyan on hire purchase, property of one Daniel Ojoko,” Ekundayo said.
According to him, the offence is punishable under section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The accused pleaded guilty to the facts of the case.
Magistrate Anuoluwapo Morafa sentenced the accused to three months imprisonment without option of fine.
