As part of effort to contain the ravaging impact of the pandemic known as Coronavirus in the country, the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has donated the sum of N10 million.
NIWA said in a statement signed by its General Manager, Tayo Fadile, that the gesture, which was as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) will help government fight the killer virus with more vigour and determination.
NIWA said out of the N10 million donations, the sum of N5million would go to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and another N5million to the Lagos State Government.
The agency also urged Nigerians to obey directives on COVID-19 to restore sanity and ensure safety and well-being of everybody in the country.
