Registrar of CRFFN, Sir Mike Jukwe, made this call during the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF) 17th Annual General Meeting held recently in Ghana.
Jukwe said that there are similarities in the challenges confronting the practice of freight forwarding in the various ECOWAS member states therefore a common approach to addressing these challenges should be adopted.
He had used the occasion of the meeting to commend GIFF for its laudable programmes and initiatives and to extend a hand of partnership to the Institute for the purpose of “cross-fertilization of ideas in freight forwarding business”.
He also congratulated the Institute for its recent elective position as Vice President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA).
The meeting also had an interactive session where the CRFFN Registrar outlined the major achievements of the Council to include compilation of the maiden register of freight forwarders in Nigeria, getting FIATA’s recent Validation and Accreditation of Diploma and Higher Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management in USA and Singapore respectively and flagging off its enforcement unit.
