Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Dikko Inde Abdulahi has directed that the valuation unit of the various customs formation take over value-related functions hitherto covered by the Query and Amendment seat.
The directive, contained in a circular dated May 27th, signed by Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Tariff and Trade, G.T Aliu, and sighted by SHIPS & PORTS DAILY aims to enhance the revenue profile of the Service.
“All area controllers are thereby requested to with immediate effect disengage the Query and Amendment seat from this function in their various commands,” Aliu stated.
