Customs redeploys four senior officers

Customs law outdated, says Comptroller-General

The Nigeria Customs Service has approved the redeployment of two of its Controllers and two Deputy Comptrollers.

According to a circular sighted by SHIPS & PORTS and signed by the Deputy Comptroller-General, Human Resources Development, A. U Sanusi; head of the Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘A’ Ikeja, Lagos, Comptroller Muhammed Aliyu, has been redeployed to serve as acting commander in charge of Sector 4 Command of the National border drill operation while Coordinator of the Strike Force, Zone ‘A’ Deputy Comptroller Yahaya Usman, now takes charge as Acting Controller of FOU.

Also redeployed in acting capacity is Controller, Seme Area Command, Comptroller Muhammed Uba, who has been moved to take charge as commander, Sector 3 Command of the border drill operation. Deputy Comptroller C. D. Wada now takes over as acting Controller, Seme Command while Assistant Controller A.G Kakudi takes charge as acting Coordinator of the Strike Force.

The posting, the circular stated, takes immediate effect.
