The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has threatened to block agencies license whose addresses could not be located during the 2017 inspection exercise.

A memo sighted by SHIPS & PORTS DAILY directed that affected clearing agents hould report to the Controller Inspection office at the Customs headquarters on or before August 11 and present evidence of existence of agency’s office accommodation.

The memo, which was signed by Comptroller Inspection, Abdulahi I.A., said failure to report within the time frame will lead to blockage of the affected companies license.

The NCS noted that a total number of 61 agencies with 46 in Zone ‘A’ and 15 in Zone ‘B’ have addresses which cannot be located.
