Dangote Flour Mill employee arraigned for stealing diesel

An employee of Dangote Flour Mill, Sunday Ojo Oluwafemi was arraigned Tuesday before Apapa Magistrates’ Court 8, for alleged theft of 200 litres of diesel.

The 36-year-old man pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge brought against him by the police.

The prosecuting counsel told the court that the defendant committed the offence on June 9, 2017 at about 11:28pm at Dangote Flour Mill, Apapa Wharf.

He said the defendant stole one drum of 200 litres of diesel valued at N40,000 belonging to Dangote Group.

According to him, the offence contravened section 285(1) of the criminal laws of Lagos State, 2011.

The Magistrate, T.A. Babalola granted the defendant bail in the sum of N25,000 with one surety.

The case was adjourned till July 5, 2017 for mention.
