Maritime correspondent of The Nation newspaper, Oluwakemi Dauda weekend won the Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) award for Maritime Journalist of the Year 2014.
The award was conferred on him and other recipients in Owerri, Imo State on Saturday.
This is the third time Dauda is winning the NMMA as he was the Agriculture Reporter of the Year 2005 and 2010.
“The Award is not for me, it is for The Nation newspaper, my editor Mr Gbenga Omotoso who deployed me about three years ago to cover the beat and all of those who supported me,” Dauda stated.
