Four suspected sea pirates arrested in Ondo

The Ondo State police command has confirmed that it arrested four suspected sea pirates allegedly operating in the Ilaje/Ese-Odo local government area of the state.
Speaking to newsmen on Monday, Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State police command, Wole Ogodo, who confirmed the arrests, said two of the four suspects were receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Igbokoda for injuries they sustained while struggling to escape from the scene.
The police spokesman disclosed that all the goods stolen by the suspects could not be recovered as they fell into the sea as the combined team of police and vigilante tried to subdue the suspects and arrest them.
The State police command said the arrested suspects were responsible for several attacks along the waters in the Awoye/Ubale area.
The police spokesman listed the suspects as Kingsley Sunday, Felix Okiki, Okumagba Ibere and Godspower Happy.
