The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has said that it will partner with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to curb smuggling activities at the Jibiya international border post in Katsina State Nigeria.
A statement signed by the Chairman, NAGAFF Board of Trustees, Mr. Chidiebere Enelama, asserted that for the association to achieve its year 2013 objective of creating 5,000 job opportunities for northern youths in the freight forwarding business, it is determined to engage in constructive partnership with stakeholders at the border.
Enelama explained that NAGAFF National Headquarters received reports from its Jibiya Border Chapter Chairman, Alhaji Bello Magaji, that the Comptroller General of Customs, Alhaji Dikko Inde Abdullahi, allegedly issued a directive to his officers at the border post to shoot-on-sight any person found to be engaged in smuggling or any other criminal activities at the location, NAGAFF, according to the BoT Chairman, is pleased with the information.
