A man, identified simply as Vuga, got more than he bargained for in a residential area in Apapa on Monday after he reportedly stole the side mirrors of a police vehicle.

Residents of Ogedengbe Street in the Ajegunle area of Apapa, who reportedly caught the man stealing the side mirrors of the parked police vehicle at about 4:30am on Monday, pounced on him and gave him the beating of his life.

“This guy came earlier this morning in the name of coming to see a friend.

Unarguably, a friend of his who is innocent lives in that place and Vuga comes there every time even though he was once chased out last year having been perceived by the cotenants that he was the one behind missing items in the neighborhood.

“This morning, as Vuga entered the house at 4:30am, the dogs started barking and the residents came out and beat him to a pulp,” an eyewitness told SHIPS & PORTS.
