MAN Oron, Total graduate 50 trainees

The collaboration between the Maritime Academy of Nigeria (MAN), Oron and the Total E & P Nigeria Plc to build the entrepreneurship potentials of undergraduates at the academy has started yielding result as the program graduated 50 youths trained under a skill acquisition programme.

The programme, according to the foremost maritime institution, was to curb the high rate of unemployment in the country.

Speaking at the completion of the training programme, Rector of the academy, Joshua Okpo expressed his happiness for the successful completion of the first set of the training.

Okpo, who was represented by the Acting Director of MAN-Consult Limited, Dr. Kevin Okonna, acknowledged that the deadly Ebola virus almost disrupted the training.

Okpo described the batch of students as the best ever, both in academics and conduct.

He said the training would improve the lives of the beneficiaries in many ways.

He charged Total E & P to do more by absorbing some of the trainees into the organisation.
