Man pleads guilty to stealing N42,000 phone in Apapa

A 22-year-old man, Sunday Ejeh, was on Wednesday pleaded guilty to stealing a Tecno phone valued at N42,000 after he was arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court.

Ejeh is facing a one-count charge of stealing.

The prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Bassey, told the Court that the defendant committed the offence on April 2, 2019 at Alhaji Salawu Street, Ajegunle, Apapa.

“The defendant stole one Tecno phone valued at N42,000 property of one Anita Dennis,” Bassey said.

According to him, the offence is punishable under section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.

Magistrate A.S Okubule adjourned the case till April 15, 2019 for facts and sentence.
