Nigeria’s largest container, APM Terminals Apapa on Wednesday won its first group match in the ongoing Maritime Cup competition, defeating Dynasty Shipping 3-0. It was the first match to be determined in Group C.

Also, Chinese state-owned multinational conglomerate, COSCO Shipping defeated Group A rivals Comet Shipping 2-0 in the second match played yesterday at the NPA Sports Ground in Surulere, Lagos. The third match, which was to be between 2019 champions ENL Consortium and 2018 runners-up Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has been rescheduled for this Friday.

Action continues in the tournament today with 2019 runners-up Josepdam Port Services (JPS) trading tackles with 2014 champions the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) in Group B at 9am at the NPA Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos. At 11am, debutants Blueche Lomado and Truck Transit Park (TTP), both in Group D, will slug it out while archrivals Nigerian Navy (2009 champions) and five-time champions Nigeria Customs Service will battle each other in what promises to be an epic encounter at 3pm.
