A 27-year-old motorboy, Ifeanyi Ikoroha was on Wednesday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing truck parts worth N496,000.
Ikoroha pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Marvelous Anim told the court that the defendant committed the offence on December 5, 2016 at about 2am at MTN Compound Berger Cement, Olodi Apapa.
Anim said Ikoroha stole four truck tyres with rims valued N400,000, three truck kick-starters valued N90,000 and 20 pieces of nuts valued N6,000.
Anim added that the total stolen truck parts valued N496,000 were property of Donco Investment Ltd.
According to the prosecutor, the offences contravened sections 409 and 285 criminal laws of Lagos State, 2011.
Magistrate Adenike Alaka adjourned the case till October 19, 2017 for continuation of trial.
