Man pleads guilty to stealing shuttle bus

A 33-year-old man identified as Henry Nwose on Tuesday pleaded guilty to one-count charge of stealing a shuttle bus before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The prosecutor, Inspector Gabriel Ekundayo, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 21, 2019 at about 2pm at No 25, Adeola Street, Oluti, Satellite Town, Lagos. 

“The defendant stole one shuttle bus painted with black and white with registration number KRD 395 XP valued at N520,000 that was given to one David Edeyan on hire purchase, property of one Daniel Ojoko,” Ekundayo said. 

According to him, the offence is punishable under section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge against him. 

Magistrate Anuoluwapo Morafa adjourned the matter till April 25, 2019 for facts and sentence.
