NDLEA arrests 25 for drugs in Jigawa

The Jigawa Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it  arrested 25 suspects and recovered 27.207 kilogrammes of assorted  narcotics in November.

The NDLEA State Commander, Abdullahi Abdul, on Tuesday in Dutse said,  “The Jigawa command of the NDLEA was able to seize 27.207 kg of  various illicit drugs in the month of November 2016.

“The major seizure was in the area of cannabis sativa which weighted  13.861 kg.

“The seizures were made at different locations in the state.

“Equally, 25 suspects were also arrested during the said period.”

He listed the drugs seized to include tramadol, rohyznol, cough  syrups, among others.

He said that the command also secured 10 convictions at the Federal  High Court, Dutse.

The NDLEA boss reiterated the resolve of the agency to make the state  drug abuse-free.
