The newly appointed General Manager Public Affairs of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Effiong Etim Nduonofit, formally assumed office on Thursday.
SHIPS & PORTS DAILY reported exclusively on February 3, 2017 that Ndunofit would take over from Chief Michael Ajayi as NPA’s new image maker.
At a handover ceremony at NPA Headquarters in Marina, Lagos on Thursday, Nduonofit solicited the support of “all personnel, sections and units of the Public Affairs Division in his quest to contribute most meaningfully to the organization’s image appreciation and publicity mileage”, according to a press statement issued weekend by the Principal Manager Public Affairs of NPA, Ibrahim Nasir.
Nasir quoted Ndunofit as saying that “collaborations should be the watchword as we navigate the very challenging task of ensuring that NPA takes its place of pride amongst notable institutions nationwide and internationally”.
Nduonofit urged the Public Affairs officers in the organization “to brace up to the new vista in line with the change mantra of the Federal Government”.
He also urged them “to key into the vision of the management of the authority”.
Until his appointment as General Manager Public Affairs, Nduonofit was the Assistant General Manager Audit of the authority. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma and a Masters in Business Administration both from University of Calabar.
