Chinese quarantined at Lagos airport tests negative for coronavirus 

 

Nigeria has recorded 220 new cases of Coronavirus, taking its total figures to 2,388.

According to the figures released by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday, Lagos recorded 62 new infections while the Federal Capital Territory Abuja recorded 52 new infections.

Kaduna State recorded 31 new infections; Sokoto 13; Kebbi 10; Yobe 9; Borno 6; Edo and Bauchi recorded 5 new cases each; while Gombe, Enugu and Oyo have four new cases each.

Others are Zamfara, Nasarawa, Osun, Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano and Plateau States recorded two new cases each.

“A total of 220 new cases of #COVID19 were recorded on Saturday. There are now 2,388 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria,” NCDC said on its website.

The public health agency stated that so far, 385 infected people have been discharged while 85 deaths have been recorded in the country.
