The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II (ASC II), with applicants given a strict one-week deadline to complete the next stage of the process or risk losing their provisional appointments.
In a statement issued on Monday by the National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, the Service announced that shortlisted candidates can confirm their status on the official NCS website and in selected national newspapers.
The NCS said successful applicants would also receive notifications via their registered email addresses and SMS, detailing the next steps in the recruitment exercise.
According to the statement, the portal for uploading Medical Certificates of Fitness from government-recognised hospitals will be activated on 29 July 2026. Candidates are expected to log on to the recruitment portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address and complete the upload within one week.
The Service warned that failure to upload the required medical certificate, update their current state of residence or formally accept the provisional offer of appointment within the stipulated period could lead to disqualification and forfeiture of the offer.
Successful candidates are also required to accept their appointments by clicking the “Accept Offer” button on the recruitment portal before awaiting the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which the Service said would be communicated within a week.
The NCS added that details of documentation and physical screening, including dates, venues and other requirements, would be announced through its official communication channels.
Maiwada urged all successful candidates to comply strictly with the guidelines to ensure a smooth transition into the next phase of the recruitment process.
On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated the successful applicants and expressed optimism about welcoming them into the Service, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity and commitment to national service.
