A protocol officer of the Nigerian Export Promotions Council (NEPC), Abraham Okom has died. He died on Saturday at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Tamale, the Northern Regional capital of Ghana.
Okom, who was part of the Nigerian delegation to the ongoing Ghana International Trade Fair in Tamale, was said to have suddenly taken ill and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on Saturday.
The Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police Command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh and an official of the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana both confirmed the incident.
Tetteh indicated that the Nigerian High Commission in Accra has been notified about the incident, even as he revealed that the Ghanaian authorities were expecting the result of the autopsy conducted on the deceased to ascertain the cause of death.
