Nigeria records 117 new coronavirus cases, total hits 782

Nigerian tests positive to coronavirus in U.S.

 

Nigeria on Tuesday reported 117 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections, bringing the total number of infected persons in the country to 782. 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which made this known on its Twitter handle last night, said Lagos had the highest number of new infections with 59 confirmed cases. 

Lagos is the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria. 

“117 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported: 59 in Lagos, 29 in FCT, 14 in Kano, 6 in Borno, 4 in Katsina, 3 in Ogun, 1 in Rivers, and 1 in Bauchi. 

“As of 11:25 pm on the 21st April, there are 782 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 197. Deaths: 25,” NCDC said.
