President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with the outgoing and incoming Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru and Mele Kyari respectively, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Bashir Ahmed, a spokesman to the president, who disclosed this, however, did not state the reason for the meeting.
Buhari appointed Kyari in place of Baru after his retirement from office of July 7 2019.
Kyari comes to the job as the 19th GMD of the NNPC with a rich profile of professional and service credentials.
