The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), says there was no plan by government to review the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also called petrol.
The PPPRA in a statement on Wednesday, signed by its Executive Secretary, Abdulkadir Saidu, assured Nigerians that there was no need for apprehension or panic buying.
“We are confident that the NNPC being a major supplier of petroleum products into the system and the supplier of last resort can ensure uninterrupted supply of petroleum products into the market and the Corporation has given assurances in this regard.”
“PPPRA therefore urges fuel consumers across the country to be calm as there is no plan by government to review the pump price of PMS.”
Saidu said that the Agency would continue to monitor the supply situation and take every step required to ensure that there was no disruption whatsoever in the system.
