New Japanese container line joint venture Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced senior regional management appointments drawing executives from the three partner companies.
Singapore-headquartered ONE announced heads for five regions – East Asia, South Asia, Europe and Africa, North America, and Latin America – with executives drawn from Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK), Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), and K Line.
Heading the East Asia region, which includes China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam is Shunichiro Mizukami, who comes from NYK and will be based in Hong Kong.
Colin de Souza, from MOL, is regional head for South Asia, based in Singapore, and covering the Indian Sub-Continent, the Middle East, Oceania and South East Asia.
Heading up the Europe and Africa region, and based in the UK, is Jotara Tamura, also from MOL.
Nobuo Ishida, from K Line is head of the North America region, based in the US, and covering Canada and the US.
Head of the Latin America region is Peter Duifhuizen from MOL, based in Brazil.
“These regional executives bring to us their diverse experience and will significantly contribute to the operations and business growth of ONE globally,” said Jeremy Nixon ceo of ONE.
ONE, a merger of the container businesses of NYK, MOL and K Line, officially started operations on 1 April.
