The Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) today recorded their first victory in the ongoing Maritime Cup 2023 tournament as they defeated COSCO Shipping 2-1.

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) also booked a 3-0 win over 2019 champions ENL Consortium which did not show up for their rescheduled match.

Earlier, defending champions Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) played a surprising 2-2 draw with debutants Comet Shipping.

With the latest result, NPA now tops Group A with four points, followed by Cosco Shipping and NSC with three points each. Comet has only one point from two matches.

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) tops Group B with three points while APM Terminals Apapa leads Group C also with three points.

Blueche Lomado and Nigeria Customs Service are atop Group D with three pints each.

Action will resume on Monday when NIMASA takes on APM Terminals at 9am at the NPA Sports Ground. ENL will trade tackles with Dynasty Shipping at the same venue at 11am while the third match of the day will be between 2009 champions Nigerian Navy and new entrants Truck Transit Park.
