The police on Wednesday arraigned two men before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing one power bike in Apapa.
The accused named Joseph Ebuka (19) and Saliu Adamu (22) are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Friday Inedu, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on November 27, 2019 at about 4pm at Under Bridge, Ijora 7up, Apapa, Lagos.
“The defendants conspired together with others at large to steal one Qlink power bike valued at N350,000 property of one Akintola Temitayo,” Inedu said.
According to him, the offences are punishable under sections 411 and 287(a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
Magistrate T.R Oladele granted them N25,000 bail with one surety in like sum.
The surety is required to be gainfully employed and furnish the court with evidence of tax payment to Lagos State Government.
She adjourned the case till December 18, 2019 for mention.
