Police Commissioner visits NAGAFF

The Commissioner of Police, Western Ports Command, Olanrewaju Ishola, has paid a familiarisation visit to National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) headquarters at Apapa, Lagos.

Speaking during the visit, the National President of NAGAFF, Tochukwu Ezisi, enumerated the issues facing freight forwarders in the hands of port police officials.

He outlined issues ranging from interference from the AIG Maritime Office calling shipping companies to block containers, delay in the clearing of cargoes, increased demurrage and complaints about officers working at the roundabout in Apapa.

Responding, the police commissioner assured that the grievances of the association “will be looked into and forwarded to the appropriate quarters for prompt action”.

Ishola pledged his support towards creating a secured working environment for the freight forwarders.

Also speaking, NAGAFF Founder, Boniface Aniebonam said, “Anyone found in criminality is on his own.”
