Western Ports gets new Police Commissioner 

Police arrest four over container diversion from Apapa

 

Cyril Okoro,has been appointed as the new Commissioner in charge of the Western Port Authority Police Command. 

The newly appointed commissioner has assumed duties at the Lagos Ports Complex where he charged officers to be diligent in protecting lives and property.

Okoro took over from Uba Kuka Mohammed who has been promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) of the Maritime Police Command.

The AIG, who was ably represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Fayoade Adegoke, at a training organised by the Nigerian Shippers’ Council tasked officers the role of the police is “to provide internal security at the port and ensure the port is safe and secured”.
