The world’s fastest bullet train

Shanghai Maglev is currently the fastest bullet train in the world.

Located in Shanghai, a major city in China, it started its operations in 2004 and has held the position as the world’s fastest bullet train for 15years. That record is, however, being challenged by the yet to be launched train known as Shinkansen Alfa X in Japan. According to reports, Shinkansen Alfa X will start operations in 2030 and has started its test runs.

The Shanghai Maglev uses electromagnets, which enables it to travel at a speed of 430km/h (267mph).

It travels from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Longyang road in China.

The train rides are really quiet and smooth unlike the conventional types.
