VIDEO: Clearing Agents Protest Customs Officer's Alleged Highhandedness at Tin Can Port

Clearing agents at Car Park C, Tin Can Port in Lagos protested on Wednesday against Assistant Commissioner A.M.S. Isa, a senior Customs officer at the Tin Can Island Port Area Command.

The agents accused the Customs officer of allegedly deliberately delaying goods, harming trade and causing unnecessary demurrage.

The protesters carried placards bearing slogans like “Isa Must Go,” demanding the officer’s removal.

Rilwan Amuni, National Protocol Officer of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), confirmed the development to SHIPS & PORTS.

He said in a bid to quell tensions, the Customs command has summoned a meeting to tackle the clearing agents’ complaints.
