Truck drivers on Monday staged a protest at the Truck Transit Park (TTP) at Lilypond, Ijora, Lagos.
The truckers said they were protesting incessant delays at the park, as some of them have spent many weeks on queue without being given access into the Lagos Port Complex Apapa to pick up containers.
The protesters said trucks are passed directly from the roads into the port contrary to the guidelines put in place by the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA).
The NPA guidelines require all trucks to be at approved truck parks from where they will be called electronically into the port.
