A 40-year-old visa agent, Monday Edwin, was on Thursday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defrauding one George Nathan of N500,000.

Edwin is facing a two-count charge bothering on false pretence and stealing.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Marvellous Obongha, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on September 2017 at Payne Crescent, Apapa, Lagos.

“The defendant obtained the cash sum of N500,000 from one George Nathan with pretence to process travelling document for him,” Obongha said.
