A 28-year-old man, identified as Danjumma Umaru on Monday pleaded guilty before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing phone and money from one Sunday Onaifoh in Apapa.
Umaru is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Kolade Tedunjaye told the court that the defendant committed the offences on March 21, 2019 along Warehouse Road, Apapa.
“The defendant conspired together with others at large to steal one Itel mobile phone valued at N32,500 and the sum of N10,000 property of one Mr Samuel Onaifoh,” Tedunjaye said.
According to her, the offences are punishable under sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
Magistrate B.M Amore adjourned the case till April 4, 2019 for facts and sentencing.
