The Port Manager of Lagos Port Complex Apapa, Mrs Olufunmilayo Olotu, has emerged the “Best Performing Port Manager” in Nigeria.

The award was presented to Olotu by the executive management of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) during a Management Retreat which held at the weekend in Lagos.

Prior to her appointment as Lagos Port Complex Manager, Olotu had served as Calabar Port Manager for three years with commendations from the Nigerian Ports Authority and the Cross River State government and the Obong of Calabar for bringing efficiency to the port system.

In 2019, she was redeployed to the Lagos Port Complex Apapa as Port Manager.

Her strides has no doubt yielded much fruit as evident in debt recovery, increase in Lagos port revenue and improvement in port processes within the last two years.

The acting Managing Director of NPA, Mohammed Bello Koko, who presented the award to Olotu, said the retreat was an avenue for further improvements to reposition the organisation for competitiveness and innovations.
