Bello-Koko appoints new Port Managers for Tin Can, Onne and Calabar ports 

 

In a bid to enhance operational efficiency at the nation’s seaports, the Acting Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, has approved the appointment of new Port Mangers for Tin Can Island, Onne and Calabar ports.

The General Manager Corporate and Strategic Communications of NPA, Olaseni Alakija, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, said the new Port Managers are Yitnoe Stanley Magaji for Onne Port, Rivers State; Buba Jibril for Tin Can Island Port Complex, Lagos; and Ovbude Nelson Uwaifo for Calabar Port in Cross River State.

The statement said until the recent appointment, Yitnoe Stanley Magaji was Technical Assistant, Marine and Operations to Managing Director; Buba Jibril was the Traffic Manager at Lagos Port Complex (LPC) Apapa while Ovbude Nelson Uwaifo was the Traffic Manager at Dangote Jetty in Lagos.

“The erstwhile Port Manager Tin Can Island Port, Engr. Yunusa Ibrahim Anji moves to corporate headquarters as Assistant General Manager Port Engineering while Dantsoho M. Abubakar, former Port Manager, Onne now becomes Technical Assistant to Managing Director, Special Duties,” Alakija said.

Other appointments, according to the NPA spokesman, include Okaga Charles Bamidele, Principal Manager, Traffic who becomes Technical Assistant Marine and Operations to the Managing Director; Leoso Akintunde Oladipo, Principal Manager Traffic LPC Apapa assumes duty as Traffic Manager Lagos Port Complex while Aliyu Abubakar, Principal Manager Traffic Kirikiri Lighter Terminal takes over as Traffic Manager, Dangote Jetty, Lekki, Lagos.

“The appointments take immediate effect,” Alakija added.
