Buhari okays new appointments in NHRC, NDDC

President Muhammadu Buhari, following confirmation of the nominees by the Senate, has approved new appointments into the National Human Rights Commission and Niger Delta Development Commission.

According to a statement by the Permanent Secretary, in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Olusegun A. Adekunle, Esq. the new appointments include Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu as Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission for an initial term of five years.

Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is the Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, for an initial term of four years.

Chika Ama Nwauwa is also Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission. for an initial term of four years.

The statement added that Nwogu N. Nwogu has been appointed as Non-Executive Director, Niger Delta Development Commission for an initial term of four years.

Professor James Momoh is the Chairman, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission for an initial term of five years.

The appointments, the statement said, take immediate effect.
