Clearing agent dragged to court over N1.1m fraud

A 29-year-old clearing agent, identified as Anthony Celestine, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly defrauding an importer of N1,105,800.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Friday Inedu told the court that the accused committed the offence on June 30, 2017 at about 2pm at Warehouse Road, Apapa.
