Man pleads guilty to stealing tyres

India arrests another Nigerian for hard drugs

 

A 22-year-old man, Toheeb Bakare, on Wednesday pleaded guilty to stealing 10 pieces of vehicle tyres before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court at Satellite Town, Lagos.

Bakare is facing a one-count charge of stealing.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Friday Inedu, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on January 12, 2020 at about 4am at Mile 2 area of Satellite Town, Lagos.

“The defendant stole two bundles of vehicle tyres containing 10 pieces valued at N50,000 property of one Obinna Odigbo,” Inedu said.

According to him, the offence is punishable under section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.

Magistrate T.R Oladele adjourned the case till January 22, 2020 for facts and sentence.
