An 18-year-old man, Kalifa Abbah, on Monday pleaded guilty to stealing two phones belonging to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Standard Flour Mills, Bartholomew Odiba before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court.
Abbah, who does not have a fixed address, is facing a two-count charge of forceful entry and stealing of phones.
The prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Bassey, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on December 23, 2019 at 1:40pm at Standard Flour Mills at No 15, Creek Road, Apapa.
“The defendant forcibly entered into an office of one Bartholomew Odiba and stole one iphone 6 valued at N65,000 and Camon 6 Tecno phone valued at N60,000 properties of Bartholomew Odiba,” Bassey said.
According to him, the offences are punishable under sections 52 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
Magistrate Tolani Shekoni-Adeyekun adjourned the case till January 9, 2020 for facts and sentence.
