Two men — Kemi Malera (26) and Babatunde Adebisi (33) — were on Friday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates’ Court for allegedly causing the breach of peace in Apapa.
The prosecutor, Inspector Donjor Perezi told the court that the defendants committed the offence on April 3, 2019 at Aiyetoro Street, Ajegunle, Apapa.
“The defendants conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace,” Perezi said.
According to him, the offence is punishable under section 168 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge against them.
Magistrate O.A Erinle granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties must furnish the court with proof of tax payment to Lagos State Government.
She adjourned the matter till May 7, 2019 for mention.
